During the last 3 decades, TCO made financial payments to Kazakhstan of more than $176 billion, including more than $43 billion spent on local goods and services.

“Over our 30-year presence in Kazakhstan, TCO has helped drive the country’s economic progress, and supported its importance as a global energy producer. This would not be possible without the unwavering support from our four shareholders, the Government of Kazakhstan, our skilled and dedicated workforce, and the communities where we work,” TCO General Director, Kevin Lyon said.

The construction phase for the Future Growth Project-Wellhead Pressure Management Project (FGP-WPMP) is largely complete. This expansion project is of national importance and will help create a legacy of a trained skilled workforce, new facilities, technology transfer through partnerships between Kazakhstani and international companies, and upgraded infrastructure in the region.

TCO Deputy General Director, Konilkosh Suyessinov said: “We are proud that over 30 years, TCO has invested in its national workforce, created hundreds of thousands of local jobs and used local goods and services, which has stimulated economic activity, not only in Atyrau oblast, but also across other regions in Kazakhstan.”

In 2023, TCO reached its highest Kazakhstani content performance for the last 6 years of over 70%. Kazakhstani citizens now hold 95% of positions in TCO’s base business. Furthermore, since TCO’s inception, over $360 million has been invested in more than 100 social infrastructure projects to construct and improve social facilities such as schools, hospitals, recreational areas, kindergartens, and other common facilities in Atyrau region.
