As part of this development KLPE is implementing the design and construction of a Gas Separation Unit (GSU) close to the feedstock source - Tengiz oil and gas field. GSU facility is planned to be located in the territory of TCO allowing for integration with the Tengiz existing facilities. The design and construction of the GSU facility includes an Ethane Recovery Unit of a licensor vendor. The overall KLPE GSU project objective is to recover and export ethane and propane product from the dry gas supplied by TCO to GSU and the return of lean gas to TCO. TCO supports the GSU project based on the guiding principles, that GSU operates safely and reliably with no impact to Base Operations and GSU has no impact to TCO’s cash flow.
