Within the framework of the first forum of International Center for Development of Oil and Gas Machine Building (hereinafter – IMB Center), which was held in Atyrau between July 10-12, tripartite memorandums of cooperation were signed between LLP “Tengizchevroil” (TCO), IMB Center and 9 companies producing various types of industrial products.

“We proactively implement measures to support small, medium and large businesses, including the transfer of technologies, to maximize the use of local potential. The role of local enterprises is not only important, but also an integral part of our company’s activities, - noted Konilkosh Suyessinov, TCO Deputy General Director.

The Memorandum affords the companies an opportunity to undergo further qualification in order to be considered as potential suppliers of major oil and gas operators, including TCO. It is a logical extension of the joint efforts by TCO and IMB Center. The majority of producers have passed the trainings, prequalification and have been recommended by IMB Center for further cooperation with TCO and other major operators. Some of the production facilities have been localized under TCO’s Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) localization program. Companies are specialized in the production of industrial products required by TCO to maintain safe and reliable operations. For example, com-profile and spiral wound gaskets from Genersi, electrical equipment from Sigma Solution and electrical cables from Kazelectromash, LED lighting equipment from Prolux, as well as flanges and fittings from FAD Kazakhstan, etc.

TCO continues to closely cooperate with Kazakhstani its business-partners in order to encourage and attract OEM producers to open production in Kazakhstan. For instance, last year, three major TCO partners: “WIKA Group” (WIKA), “Emerson” and “Erreesse Valves” localized their production which resulted in creating new jobs for local residents.
