Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) signed a number of contracts and memorandums of cooperation aimed at further advancing in-country value development and expanding the participation of Kazakhstani companies in the oil and gas industry.

The signed contracts provide for maintenance services and specialized support for TCO production facilities. The total value of these agreements exceeds US$200 million, underscoring the company’s commitment to long-term cooperation with Kazakhstani enterprises and the continued development of local capabilities.

In addition, TCO signed memorandums of cooperation focused on strengthening partnerships with domestic companies, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, increasing localization of goods and services, promoting the adoption of modern technologies, and developing a skilled workforce for the oil and gas industry.

The signing of these agreements marks another important step in implementing TCO’s Kazakhstan Content strategy and expanding the participation of local businesses in the company’s activities. According to IMBC General Director Dastan Abishev, contracts valued at more than US$200 million demonstrate TCO’s strong confidence in Kazakhstani suppliers and their ability to deliver complex and high-value work in accordance with international standards.

“Today, we are witnessing tangible results of the joint efforts of the government, operators, and businesses to develop local manufacturing, increase localization of goods and services, and enhance the competitiveness of Kazakhstan’s industry. IMBC will continue creating opportunities for new partnerships, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and technologies, and supporting initiatives aimed at further increasing in-country value and strengthening Kazakhstan’s industrial potential,” said Dastan Abishev.

According to TCO Deputy General Director Kuanyshkerey Mukhtarov, the new agreements will contribute to the continued development of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas mechanical engineering sector, expand the production capabilities of local enterprises, create additional jobs, and strengthen sustainable domestic supply chains.

“The contracts signed today represent an important outcome of many years of cooperation between TCO and Kazakhstani suppliers. Behind each agreement lies a new opportunity for local companies to expand their operations, develop production capacity, create jobs, and strengthen the professional competencies of Kazakhstan’s workforce. For TCO, advancing Kazakhstan content is not only about increasing procurement volumes from local companies. It is also about building sustainable, long-term partnerships that help domestic businesses grow, adopt new technologies, and meet the highest international standards,” said Kuanyshkerey Mukhtarov.

TCO remains confident that Kazakhstani enterprises will continue to expand their capabilities while demonstrating high standards of quality, reliability, and professionalism. These strengths enable them to participate successfully in major oil and gas projects and strengthen their competitive position both within Kazakhstan and internationally.

The newly signed agreements will also contribute to the further development of local manufacturing, increased localization of goods and services, and the creation of additional value for Kazakhstan’s economy.
